The Electronic Visa (eVisa) for Tanzania is an official document granted by the Government of Tanzania permitting entry into and traveling to Tanzania and Zanzibar. All eligible applicants can obtain the required eVisa by filling a simple form online. The e- Visa is a single-entry visa, valid for 90 days, which allows travellers to enter and travel to Tanzania and Zanzibar, for visit, tourism and leisure purposes, for attending a conference or to visit friends and relatives in Tanzania. You can now apply for an Online Visa to visit the United Republic of Tanzania (both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar). You are required to fill in the online form, make payment, and submit your application online. Your form will be internally reviewed and processed. Applicants will be notified through their e-mails whether their applications have been accepted or rejected. They may also TRACK their application statuses through the online system.
Visas are available upon arrival in Tanzania, whether you’re landing at the airport or are making a border crossing. The cost of a visa upon arrival is $50 for non US citizens and $100 for US citizens. This should be paid in USD. Other currencies are not accepted.
