This 18 days safari take you from the outstanding wildlife parks in the inland to the tropical white sand of Zanzibar beaches.

Day 01: Dar es Salaam/ Nyerere National Park

morning depart for Nyerere National Park you will have a short break for hot lunch in kibiti. the journey to selous will take about 5 to 6 hours. arrive for afternoon boat safari along the mighty great rufiji river.

boat safari brings you into close contact with hippo, crocodile and fantastic birdlife. animals make their way to the river to drink and boat may approach elephant, waterbuck and other on the river banks to within a few meters. crocodile glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippo appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam.

dinner and overnight will be at campsite / tented camp or lodge (inside or outside the reserve). accommodation will depend on your budget.

day 02: game drive in Nyerere National Park

you will have full day game drive in Nyerere National Park exploration of the reserve by 4wd vehicle; will permit you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of vast park.

the Nyerere National Park is the largest game reserve in africa, covering the area of 50,000square kilometers. selous is famous for its elephants, commonly seen are lions, wild dogs, buffalos, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebra, wildebeest and greater kudus.

dinner and overnight will be at campsite / tented camp or lodge (inside or outside the reserve). accommodation will depend on your budget.

day 03: Nyerere National Park- wilderness walking safari

wakeup early in the morning and have a cup of coffee or tea, then go out for wilderness walking safari with guidance of an armed ranger which will take two to two and a half hours.

walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for african wild. you will get the chance to touch the nature, see the different foot print and droppings of different wild animals and small creatures that you can’t see them during the game drive. after walking safari you will go back to the camp/ lodge for breakfast then go to the reserve for game drive until sunset.

dinner and overnight will be at campsite / tented camp or lodge (inside or outside the reserve). accommodation will depend on your budget.

day 04: Nyerere National Park/ morogoro town

morning after breakfast, you will start your journey to morogoro town with game drive en route, the journey is the most amazing and truly wild and untouched areas of tanzania. the drive will take you up into the uluguru mountains across rivers and pass through small local villages and farms. the drive is tiring but possibly the most rewarding and adventures on the southern circuit. arrive morogoro for dinner and overnight at hotel/lodge.

day 05: morogoro to mikumi np

after breakfast start your journey to mikumi np. arrive for game drive until lunch time where you can drive to the camp / lodge for hot lunch. you will have a shot nap then proceed with game drive until sunset. dinner and overnight will be at campsite / tented camp or lodge (inside or outside the reserve). accommodation will depend on your budget.

animals commonly found include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and elephants and many more. wild dog can come and go in this park. over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

day 06: mikumi np to ruaha np

after breakfast start the journey to ruaha national park with stopover in iringa town for lunch. afternoon game drives in the park look hippo, crocodile, waterbuck, reedbuck and buffalo venture to the river’s edge to drink, attracting the attention of lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog and jackal. there are many birds in the park include eurasia migrants that comes to visit the park twice a year.

day 07: game drive in ruaha national park

morning after breakfast, you will go out with packed lunch for full day game drives in ruaha national park.

dinner and overnight will be at msembe old bandas/ new tourist cottage/ lodge or tented camp. (inside the park). accommodation depends on your budget.

a fine network of game viewing roads follows the great ruaha river and its seasonal tributaries, where during the dry season impala, waterbuck and other antelopes risk their life for a sip of life sustaining water. and the risk is considerable not only from the pride of 20-plus lion that lord over the savannah, but also from the cheetah that stalk the open grassland.

day 08: game drive in ruaha national park

you will have another full day game drive to explore the beautiful of the park, with its full of rocky, kopjes and ancient baobab trees. dinner and overnight will be at msembe old bandas/ new tourist cottage/ lodge or tented camp. full board. day 09: ruaha national park / isimila stone age / kisolanza farm

after breakfast game viewing en route to isimila stone age site.

kisolanza old farm is located in the heart of the southern highlands of tanzania 50kms south west of iringa town. they offer pleasant campsite, budget room, wood chalet and luxury farm cottage. accommodation depends on your budget.

day 10: kisolanza to mbeya

after breakfast start driving to mbeya city for dinner and overnight.

day 11: mbeya to sumbawanga with mbozi meteorite visit

after breakfast start drive to sumbawanga with a shot visit of mbozi meteorite in mbozi. dinner and overnight at hotel.

mbozi meteorite is the world's eighth largest meteorite located about 65km southwest of mbeya, with around 3m long and 1m tall. mbozi meteorite is the most popular tourist attraction found in songwe region. weighing in at a cool 12 tons

day 12: sumbawanga to katavi np

after breakfast you will drive to katavi np. arrive for afternoon game drive in katavi np until sunset. dinner and overnight at ikuu campsite.

katavi national park is the third national park in tanzania covering an area of 4471 sq km. katavi is famous for its undisturbed natural face compared to other parks in the country. the main vegetation of the park is miombo woodland with scattered acacia trees near lake chada. during the dry season, when the floodwaters retreat, that katavi truly comes into its own. the katuma, reduced to a shallow, muddy trickle, forms the only source of drinking water for miles around, and the flanking floodplains support game concentrations that defy belief. an estimated 4,000 elephants might converge on the area, together with several herds of 1,000-plus buffalo, while an abundance of giraffe, zebra, impala and reedbuck provide easy pickings for the numerous lion prides and spotted hyena clans whose territories converge on the floodplains.

day 13: katavi np

you will have another full day game drive in katavi np exploring the beauty of the park. dinner and overnight at ikuu campsite / tourist bandaz.

day 14: katavi np / mpanda

work up for early morning game drive then drive back to the camp for breakfast. continue with game drive until 1100hrs. park everything and drive to mpanda, arrive for short walk in mpanda town. dinner and overnight in hotel.

day 15: mpanda to kigoma

after breakfast start drive to kigoma town. this will take about 6 to 7 hours. arrive late afternoon in kigoma. dinner and overnight at the camp.

day 16: kigoma to gombe stream np

after early breakfast you will take a boat to gombe stream np. this will take 2 to 2 and half hours. arrive for chimpanzee trekking in the park. dinner and overnight at tourist cottage.

gombe stream national park is situated in the western border of tanzania, and is easily accessible by boat from kigoma town which is 16 km to the south. gombe is the smallest of tanzania's national parks: a fragile strip of chimpanzee habitat straddling the steep slopes and river valleys that hem in the sandy northern shore of lake tanganyika. its chimpanzees – habituated to human visitors – were made famous by the pioneering work of dr. jane goodal. other common mammals found are forest species, mostly primates including baboons, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys and red colobus monkeys. there are more 200 species of birds in gombe stream national park.

day 17: gombe stream np to kigoma

after breakfast takes your boat to kigoma town, you will meet your driver then drive to your camp for lunch. afternoon you will go out for kigoma town tour. dinner and overnight at the camp.

day 18: kigoma to dar es salaam

after breakfast you will drive to the airport for you flight to dar es salaam. our driver in dar es salaam will pick you and drive to your hotel or ferry to zanzibar.
