Selous River camp

Nestled within woodland along the banks of the great Rufiji River lies Selous River Camp, an enchanting safari camp tucked into the untamed African bush adjacent to the vast, unfenced Selous Game Reserve.

Arguably the best value for money in the Selous, the camp offers a choice of accommodation – comfortable Mudhut rooms with en suite bathrooms and beautiful views over the Rufiji River or simple Camping Tents for the budget minded traveller. Meals are lovingly prepared by our chefs using fresh produce and served in our thatched, open-plan dining area situated overlooking the water.

Accommodation :
Mudhut Accommodation – Breathtaking views over the Rufiji River await you from our comfortable Mudhut rooms. Each Mudhut Room has an en-suite bathroom with large hot water shower, flushing toilet and handmade terracotta wash basin. The rooms are designed for couples, with each hut having a four poster double bed, but two extra single beds can be added if required.

Tented Camping Accommodation – Spend your nights in true camping style under a canvas tent in our Rest Camp! Located in our forest campsite, our simple tents are equipped with two single beds (bed linen provided), chairs, a table and palm leaf mats. The separate, shared bathrooms are clean, airy and insect proof where you can shower in comfort.
