MIKUMI NP, UDZUNGWA MOUNTAIN NP AND RUAHA NP 6 DAYS

African Pangolin Safaris will make your trip to Tanzania unforgettable. This is combination of three National Park Safari. Mikumi is Tanzania’s fifth-largest national park, with almost guaranteed wildlife sightings. Udzungwa Mountain National Park is one of Tanzania’s most outstanding, pristine, paradise and unique exciting wilderness mountains forested with greatest altitudinal range of forest. Ruaha NP is the largest National Park in Tanzania covering an area of 20226 square kilometers. Ruaha National Park is famous for its herds of elephant and buffaloes. The Ruaha River, which plays an important role in the ecosystem of the park, provides sanctuary to a large number of hippos and crocodiles.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Udzungwa Mountain NP.

You will be picked by your driver at 0600hrs and start driving to Udzungwa Mountain NP.  You will stop on the way for hot lunch then proceed to Udzungwa. Arrive for late afternoon village walk in Mwaya village or visiting rubber plantation. Dinner and Overnight at Campsite/Twiga hotel/Tented Camp or Lodge. Full Board. Accommodation depends on your budget.

Day 2:Udzungwa Mountain Trekking / Iringa Town

Wake up for early breakfast then your driver will drive you to the starting point after completes the park formalities. Start walking in this beautiful Park enjoying and experience the stunning natural beauty of the Park. Picnic lunch in the bush then proceed exploring the area including the wonderful Sanje waterfall which is 170m high. You can get a chance to swim in one of the waterfall plunge pools. You will walk up to 1600m above sea level with beautiful view of kilombero valley. You will get the chance to see six species of monkeys include endemic species of Sanje crested mangabey and Iringa red colobus Monkey. This will take about 3 to 4 hrs. After trekking start driving to Iringa for dinner and overnight at Neema Craft Hotel or equivalent.

Day 3: Ruaha National Park

After early breakfast drive to the Ruaha National Park gate which will take about two and a half hours from Iringa town. Start a full day game drive inside the park until sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at Msembe Old Bandas/ New Tourist cottage/ Lodge or Tented Camp. Full Board. (Inside the park). Accommodation depends on your budget.

A fine network of game-viewing roads follows the Great Ruaha and its seasonal tributaries, where, during the dry season, impala, waterbuck and other antelopes risk their life for a sip of life-sustaining water. And the risk is considerable: not only from the prides of 20-plus lion that lord over the savannah, but also from the cheetahs that stalk the open grassland and the leopards that lurk in tangled riverine thickets. This impressive array of large predators is boosted by both striped and spotted hyena, as well as several conspicuous packs of the highly endangered African wild dog.

Day 4: Ruaha National Park

You will have another full day game drive to explore the beautiful of the park, with its full of rocky, kopjes and ancient baobab trees. Dinner and overnight will be at Msembe Old Bandas/ New Tourist cottage/ Lodge or Tented Camp. Full Board. (Inside the park). Accommodation depends on your budget.

Day 5: Ruaha NP to Mikumi NP

Wake up early in the morning and start a wilderness walking safari with guidance of an armed ranger which will take two to two and a half hours. Walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for African wild. After walking safari you will go back to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast start driving to Mikumi National Park with game drive en route on the direction to the exit gate. Lunch will be on the way. Arrive late evening in Mikumi NP. Dinner and overnight will be at Mikumi Tourist cottage/ Lodge or Tented Camp. Full Board. (Inside or outside the park). Accommodation depends on your budget.

Day 6: Mikumi NP to Dar es Salaam

Work up for early breakfast then drives out for game drive until lunch time, after lunch start to drive back to Dar es Salaam. Drop off at your hotel or airport for your next destination.

End of safari.

Ruaha and Mikumi have various different levels of accommodation available in and just outside the park. These range in price from the park bandas at around $50 a night to $800 a night luxury lodges.
